We are thrilled today to announce the launch of East Kent Mencap’s art competition!
We are inviting all our members, staff and supporters to create a piece of art under the theme ‘What makes you happy?’
This can be a drawing, painting, sculpture, photograph or any other form of media you’d like to use!
The winning artwork will be featured in East Kent Mencap’s next newsletter – so you could see your piece of art in print!
The deadline to submit your artwork is midnight on Monday 6th July.
How to submit your artwork
To submit your piece of artwork to the competition once you’ve finished it, take a clear photograph of it and send that photo to funds@eastkentmencap.co.uk with your name. If you’d like to write a short explanation to go with your piece, we’d love to receive that too. You can also message the photo of your artwork to our Facebook page, if you’d prefer.
We will also be creating an online gallery on our website to display virtually a wide selection of the artworks submitted, so we can share and enjoy everyone’s creations.
Please note, any artworks you share with us may be used in our newsletter, social media channels and website, so do only send us photos of your artwork if you’re happy for us to do so.
We cannot wait to see what you all create!
