A group of adults with learning difficulties recently volunteered their time to feature in a short promotional film to raise awareness of our lottery-funded project: Getting On with Learning Difficulties (GOLD).
GOLD is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and provides free information and advice to people with learning difficulties. The project is based in Thanet and supports people with benefits, housing, debt and budgeting, volunteering, leisure activities, meeting people and campaigning.
Speaking about her debut as an actress, Margaret said: “I feel I have given back to East Kent Mencap and have really enjoyed doing so. I hope they ask me again!”
Paul, who provided the voice over for the film, particularly enjoyed visiting the AF Film studio in Canterbury: “It was great to be involved, and I really enjoyed my day with the Producer, Anton.”
