We have exciting full and part-time opportunities for Support Workers in our close-knit Herne Bay Day Resource team.
As a Support Worker, you will lead a range of sessions in our Herne Bay Day Resource Service, including life skills, cooking, sports, up-cycling, music, drama, leisure and social activities. We want you to support and enable our service users using your experience, skills and most of all: your passion.
People who use East Kent Mencap are supported to direct their own services, and play an important role in monitoring and developing our charity’s strategy.

Support Worker Requirements:
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate an empowering and friendly attitude and ideally possess previous experience of working in a similar setting with adults with learning disabilities. However, we will also consider applications from people with a positive attitude and transferable skills. Fully funded apprenticeships are available to support you to gain Level 2 in Health and Social Care if needed.
