Extraordinary Times Call for Extraordinary People!
We have exciting full and part-time opportunities for community support workers in our close-knit Swale team. We provide care and support for people with learning disabilities within our 4 bedded bungalow in Sheerness and community-based homes in the surrounding areas.
This opportunity involves using person-centred plans to develop life skills such as cooking, budgeting and community access for individuals so that they become as independent as possible within their own homes.
Support Worker Requirements:
This role will involve some elements of travel within the community and applicants should hold a driving licence and have the use of a vehicle.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will preferably hold an NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care (or we can support you to gain one through fully-funded opportunities) and you will have experience in this field (though we would be happy to interview candidates with no experience who have an enthusiastic attitude and person-centered approach).
We are committed to our staff and their wellbeing, offer a full induction and training programme, salary progression, employee assistance programme, a generous holiday allowance (increasing with length of service), a sickness allowance, as well as a pension scheme and mileage reimbursement scheme (40p per mile).
You will be working within a team to provide 24-hour cover, 7 days a week, which may involve working evenings and weekends and also cover sleep-ins (paid at £70.47 per night).
