East Kent Mencap is looking to employ a full-time support worker for the supported living service in a 4-bedded property in Deal and to work with community-based individuals in the surrounding areas. This exciting opportunity involves working shifts on a flexible rota pattern, which will include evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins (payable at £70.47 per night).
You will be supporting people with a learning disability with their daily living skills such as accessing the community, shopping, cooking, and budgeting, this will be achieved by following person-centred plans and the individual’s support plan. Some of this work will include providing personal care.
Ideally, you will have an NVQ 2 or a diploma in health and social care but if not you will be supported by East Kent Mencap to gain this qualification.
