Extraordinary Times call for Extraordinary People!
We have a new opportunity and are recruiting a Support Worker for 15 hours per week to enable an individual who requires 1:1 support to attend our day services. This will involve participation in a range of sessions at our Sheerness Day Resource, including life skills, cooking, sports, up-cycling, music, drama, leisure and social activities. We want you to support and enable our clients using your experience and skills and, most of all, your passion.
We offer a full induction and training programme, salary progression, a generous holiday allowance, increasing with length of service, and sickness allowance as well as a pension scheme.
Our Service Users tell us that when we hold a cooking club, they are the chefs, and when we go to a football club, they are footballers! Do you have any ideas of other things they could be?
Support Worker Requirements:
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate an empowering and friendly attitude and ideally possess previous experience of working in a similar setting with adults with learning disabilities. However, we will also consider applications from people with a positive attitude and transferable skills. Fully funded apprenticeships are available to support you to gain Level 2 in Health and Social Care if needed.
