Our Complex Needs team offer bespoke support for children, young people and adults with a range of complex needs in our Margate-based Day Service and social clubs. These needs include complex health needs, communication issues and behaviours that challenge.
All of our services are person-centred, supporting people to develop their lives in whatever ways they choose. You will be expected to enable, engage, and provide positive outcomes for the well-being of everyone you support.
We are looking for Support Workers with the ability to use their initiative and creativity to plan sessions and facilitate activities. This could include music, arts and crafts or fitness for example. Our ideal applicant will bring a host of new ideas and content for future sessions.
Working within this specialist service, you must be able to demonstrate an adaptable and consistent approach to people with learning disabilities, their families, your colleagues and other professionals.
An NVQ3 or equivalent is desirable though we are happy to receive applications from candidates with a passion for the sector and the desire to undertake a fully supported apprenticeship in Health and Social Care.
This role includes regular Saturday and evening work in our range of clubs. We welcome applications from flexible candidates with good availability. A driving licence and the use of your own vehicle is preferable.
We offer a full induction and training programme, salary progression, a generous holiday allowance, increasing with length of service, and sickness allowance as well as a pension scheme and mileage reimbursement scheme (40p per mile).
