We have new opportunities and are recruiting Support Workers to enable individuals who require 1:1 support to fully benefit from our day services. Our Day Resources offer a wide range of in house and external activities which include life skills, cooking, sports, up-cycling, music, drama, leisure and social activities.
Individuals we support expect your complete focus on assisting them to break down the barriers that they may experience to enable them to pursue their choices and develop friendships with their peers. We are keen to learn how you will achieve this.
We want you to support and enable people through your experience and skills and, most of all, your passion.

Support Worker Requirements:
Successful candidates will demonstrate an empowering and friendly attitude and ideally possess previous experience of working in a similar setting with adults with learning disabilities. However, we will also consider applications from people with a positive attitude and transferable skills. Fully funded apprenticeships are available to support you to gain Level 2 in Health and Social Care if needed.
A full driving licence is desirable to enable individuals to access their community and attend their preferred services using East Kent Mencap minibuses.
