We are currently looking to expand our team of employees after developing a range of services aimed at supporting children, young people and adults with a learning disability, all of whom will have a wide range of complex physical, behavioural and communication needs.
In addition to the Complex Needs Day Service we support individuals within their own homes, to access their community and engage in social activities.
We are looking for looking for a Senior Support Worker who is interested in working full time on a flexible basis (37 hours contract). Your role will be to work as part of a team, as well as having/gaining the confidence and skills to support individuals safely on your own.
Your responsibilities will include mentoring the staff team and supporting the Manager of the Service with delegated tasks and responsibilities. You will be required to adhere and promote the ethos of EKM and person-centred approach.
You will be expected to constantly promote good practice and apply the principals behind aiding total communication and thus offering a truly bespoke service. You will be expected to enable, engage and provide positive outcomes for the wellbeing of everyone you support in the Community and also within the Day Service.
You must be able to demonstrate a reliable and flexible approach to people with a learning disability, their families, your colleagues and other professionals for this specialised role. In return we offer a full induction and training programme and competitive pay.
