Salary/Rate: £21,829 – £24,273/annum (Basic salary & 2 sleeps per week)

We are currently seeking a support worker for the supported living service in a 4 bedded property in Herne Bay and to work with community based individuals in the surrounding areas. You will work shifts on a flexible rota pattern and this will include evenings, weekend, bank holidays (enhanced pay available) and sleep-in’s (payable at £70.47 per night). As a full time employee of East Kent Mencap who is covering two sleep-ins a week, you will earn between £21,829.92 and £24,273.40 per annum.
You will be supporting people with a learning disability with their daily living skills such as accessing the community, shopping, cooking, and budgeting, this will be achieved by following person centred plans and the individual’s support plan.
Ideally you will already hold an NVQ 2 or a diploma in health and social care but if not you will be supported by East Kent Mencap to gain this qualification.
