In April, two local women organised a quiz night to raise funds for our services.
Lorna Blackburn and Mary Rubie arrange quizzes for various charitable causes throughout the year. Our quiz, which was held at the Honeysuckle Inn in Ramsgate, was attended by over 50 people and raised £255.
The funds raised from the quiz will go towards our weekly drama club, Triple Threat, which takes place at the our Margate resource centre and offers people with a learning disability a creative outlet where they can sing, dance and act.
“This is the third year Lorna and Mary have supported us and we’re very grateful,” commented Fundraising Officer, Siobhan O’Gorman. “These quizzes not only fund much needed support for adults and children with a learning disability but also provide a great night out for the local community, including our staff members, who have a team there every year.”
