In August, tenants from William House went on a week long holiday to Butlin’s in Bognor Regis. The trip proved popular amongst the group, with everyone appearing to enjoy themselves.
There was an array of evening entertainment throughout the seven days for the group to enjoy. Performers included; TV celebrity, Stephen Mulhern, CBBC’s dynamic duo, Sam and Mark and dance troupe, Diversity. Tenant’s favourites included a production of Dick Whittington, a wrestling performance and a Danger Mouse stage show.
During the days, the group tried their hand at a range of activities. From spending in the penny arcades to scoring strikes at bowling. Tenant, Francis Brennan, won a medal after popping two balloons in succession after taking part in Archery. The group spent a day at the fairground, going on all the rides. Tenants Daniel and Joy enjoyed the hall of mirrors whilst tenants Sara and Philip had much delight in driving around in the bumper cars. On the Friday, the group ventured into Bognor town and enjoyed lunch out. The tenants explored local shops and spent their money on clothes and hats amongst other things.
Support Worker, Kevin Flynn, said: “It was great to support the group as they are all such good friends. They all enjoyed experiencing a different environment as well as trying activities they’d never done before. We now have many happy memories and will enjoy reminding ourselves of the amazing time we had by looking through all the photographs we’ve taken!”
