130 people joined us on July 9th to view the finale of collaborative dance project: ‘Moving Into Colour’
Set around the Margate gallery and seafront, over 20 adults with learning disabilities from East Kent Mencap worked with Kent dance company Confidance to explore movement and art as part of the Summer of Colour.
A short film was unveiled to local councillors, Mayor of Margate, and gallery goers, revealing the 10-week process and inviting them to try out moves themselves in a mini-workshop led by Confidance instructors.
