Salary/Rate: £8.98 – £9.56/hour. Sleep-ins paid at £70.47 per night
Location: Sheerness, Kent
Deadline: Monday 24th August
We have an exciting full-time opportunity available for a support worker to provide care and/or support people with Learning Disabilities to develop life skills and become as independent as possible within their own homes.
Our clients will be supported with their daily living skills such as accessing the community, shopping, cooking, and budgeting. This will be achieved by following person-centred plans and the individual’s support plan.
Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will preferably hold an NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care (or be willing to undertake one) and have experience in this field (though we would be happy to interview candidates with no experience who have an enthusiastic attitude and person-centred approach).
In return we offer a full induction and training programme, a bespoke salary progression framework, a generous length of service holiday scheme, pension scheme and sickness allowance.
You will be working within a team to provide 24 hour cover, 7 days a week. Therefore you may be required to work evenings and weekends and also cover sleep-ins (paid at £70.47 per night).
To apply, please send your CV and covering letter to HR Manager, Alison Fengas, at email@example.com.
Candidates selected for interview will be contacted after the closing date of Monday 24th August. However, we reserve the right to close the job immediately should we receive sufficient early applications. If you would like an informal chat about this post, please call our HR Manager, Alison Fengas on 01843 808964.
As we hold Disability Confident Leader status, all candidates with a disability meeting the minimum criteria of this role will be offered an interview on every occasion.
