We have two exiting opportunities (ONE FULL TIME AND ONE PART TIME) available for support workers to provide care and/or support people with Learning Disabilities to develop life skills and become as independent as possible within their own homes. This role will involve some elements of travel within the communities of Canterbury, Herne Bay and Whitstable. Therefore it is essential that you must be able to drive and use your own vehicle (mileage reimbursement policy applies).
Additional support may also be required from time to time at our supported living unit in Herne Bay. Here you will utilise the personal support plans of 5 adults with learning disabilities to support them with their daily routines and access a wide range of activities within the community.
Due to the nature of this role the successful candidates will preferably hold an NVQ 2 in health and social care (or be willing to undertake one) have experience in this field. You will be working within a team to provide 24 hour cover, 7 days a week. Therefore you may be required to work evenings and weekends and also cover sleep-ins (paid at £70.47 per night).
