Arkley Road Tenant, Paul Pinder, loves horses and had been so excited about seeing the play War Horse. Having booked tickets in July 2016 for the show at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury, the suspense continued…
Over a year later and the wait was finally over! On Thursday 12th October, Paul travelled to the theatre alongside Canterbury Community Manager, Della Heaton. The day was unforgettable from start to finish. Unbeknownst to Paul, the pair were invited to the stage door to receive a signed programme thanks to the Theatre Director, Mark Everett who had kindly made arrangements. The pair then took to their seats to enjoy the show, with a spectacular view from the stalls. The afternoon ended with backstage tour where they met the horses, saw the costumes and took photos with the cast.
Paul said: ‘The show was really wonderful and a bit sad and tearful. I had a nice day and I want to go again. It was such a special treat as I always wanted to see War Horse. I was surprised and so happy to get autographs of the cast.’
