Staying safe online

In January, Kent Police hosted an Internet Safety Workshop for people with a learning disability at our Herne Bay Resource Centre. The workshop covered social media, online scams and briefly touched on personal safety at the request of the attendees. Local Vulnerable Adult Intervention Officer, PCSO Dan Mimran led the workshop alongside his colleague, PCSO Matt Farley.

Members of our Photography Group are proud to present their latest exhibition, featuring wildlife taken at Wildwood and Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory. The exhibition is being held in Margate at King Street Studio and Gallery, and is open Monday to Friday from 9th October until 21st October. Entry is free and many of the prints are for sale.

FREE well being activities in Herne Bay

People with a learning disability living in Herne Bay and the surrounding area will soon be able to enjoy exciting new activities, all for FREE, thanks to funding from Canterbury City Council. The well being sessions will take place in June and July and include: Upcycling, Feeling Fit, Cooking, Drama, Reminiscence and Photography.

Crowd go bonkers for Variety Show

This month, our Swale drama group re-imagined ‘Alice in Wonderland’ for their annual performance. Titled ‘Bonkers’, the show blurred the lines between fantasy and reality as the audience were transported on a journey through Wonderland.
