Our services in Thanet, Herne Bay, Canterbury, Ashford and Swale give people with a learning disability opportunities to enrich and develop their lives independently, confidently and enjoyably.

East Kent Mencap, although affiliated to National Mencap, is independently registered, governed and self-financed. We ask that donations of any kind be fully marked ‘East Kent Mencap’ to avoid any confusion. East Kent Mencap’s Charity Number is 1188118.

Donate an item

We’re always looking for raffle and auction gifts and prizes, and our resource centres often accept health care items, books and more.

To donate an item to our HQ in Ramsgate, call 01843 808 964 to arrange an appointment.

The EKM Scrapstore can take your unwanted unused craft items, wool, and fabric, to sell them on to other crafters - raising donations through this second-hand venture. So far the Scrapstore has saved 1078kg of craft materials from landfill!
