Opening times

Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm

Activities at our Ramsgate Day Resource include cooking, photography, fitness, arts and crafts, drama, gardening, and our Upcycling Project.

We provide many of these activities in partnership with local organisations, including Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory.

Members are also supported to access services in the community and be involved in local events like POW Festival.

Throughout the year, members have the opportunity to showcase their work at a number of local events, from photography exhibitions to stage productions.

Upcycling Project

Our Upcycling Project in Ramsgate transforms unwanted products into something completely new. We run five weekly sessions during which members research trends online, and use their creativity and skills to produce high quality products from stylish furniture to funky table decorations. The process is therapeutic with the physical act of painting and sanding providing a creative outlet for members to take pride in their work.

The items members create are sold for a donation to raise funds for our services, making the process meaningful to the members as people pay for something they’ve created. The purpose of the group is to build self-confidence, learn skills, work as a team and have a positive effect on the environment. Members access their community to find unwanted items by communicating with shop owners. By re-purposing such items, the upcycling group ensure less waste goes to landfill and contribute to their local community.

Upcycled items can be bought at our Margate and Ramsgate Day Resources, as well as at the events we hold throughout the year. To join the group, donate materials or enquire about buying an item please contact, Senior Support Worker, Maria Kourellias, by emailing or calling 01843 22 44 82.

Below you can see examples of the wonderful upcycled items the members have created!
