East Kent Mencap is pleased to have been chosen as Charity of the Year by Canterbury Christ Church University’s Estates & Facilities, Sport and Active Health teams.
The partnership will see East Kent Mencap supported through a range of fundraising and awareness-raising activities over the coming year, helping to create more opportunities for people with a learning disability across East Kent.
One of the key events in the partnership is the Vice Chancellor’s Business Games, taking place on Thursday 18 June at Polo Farm Sports Club in Canterbury. The event brings together local businesses for a day of team activities, networking and friendly competition, with ticket proceeds supporting East Kent Mencap.
East Kent Mencap has been supporting people with a learning disability for over 75 years, working across Thanet, Canterbury, Swale and the wider East Kent area. The charity focuses on helping people build confidence, develop skills and take an active role in their local community.
This partnership provides a valuable opportunity to raise funds and connect with local organisations, while continuing to promote inclusion and opportunity for people with a learning disability.
