We are looking for an enthusiastic Volunteering Coordinator to join the Getting On with Learning Difficulties Project (GOLD) team in Thanet, funded by the Big Lottery. The Coordinator will recruit and support people with and without a learning disability as volunteers for GOLD projects, maintain the groups and activities already established and develop new projects. This part time, one year post, is based in Cliftonville and offers flexible working. The purpose of the post is to recruit and support people, specifically with a learning disability, as volunteers for GOLD projects, to maintain the groups and activities already established and develop new projects.

We are proud to welcome a second Operations Manager to our team. Karen Loughrill has joined us to lead our Day Opportunities for adults and children with a learning disability and work closely alongside fellow Operations Manager, Tim Birchley, who is responsible for regulated care, domiciliary, community and supported living.
In April, two local women organised a quiz night at the Honeysuckle Inn in Ramsgate, which was attended by over 50 people and raised £255 for our services.
