Coronation celebrations took place across East Kent Mencap

We enjoyed fabulous royal celebrations at our East Kent Mencap Hubs to mark King Charles III Coronation. In the lead up to the big day: Margate Expressive Art Group made wonderful Coronation lollipops. Ramsgate Hub made jeweled crowns to wear at their party.

East Kent Mencap GOLD (Getting On With Learning Difficulties), based in Foresters Hall, Ramsgate, is celebrating today after being awarded £216,672 from The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest funder of community activity in the UK. The GOLD project is being funded for a further three years, supporting people with a learning disability in Thanet

We now run a FREE Saturday Club for young people with autism at Herne Bay. The club is for young people, from 11 to 18 years old, to make friends, share experiences, go on trips and take part in community activities.
