We are looking for Support Workers to work as part of a team supporting children, young people and adults with Autism/Learning Disabilities at home and in the community. This is an exciting service working with a range of complex health needs, communication difficulties and behaviors that challenge.
We are looking for a passionate support worker to provide care and/or support to people with learning disabilities to develop life skills, engage in fun activities and become as independent as possible within their own homes and within the community.
This role will involve occasional sleep-ins (paid at £70.47 per night) weekend and evening support. We welcome applications from flexible candidates with good availability. A driving license and the use of your own vehicle is preferable.
Support Worker Requirements:
Working within this specialist service, you must be able to demonstrate an adaptable and consistent approach to people with Autism/learning disabilities, their families, your colleagues and other professionals. You will have an empowering and friendly attitude and ideally possess previous experience of working in a similar setting. An NVQ3 or equivalent is desirable though we are happy to receive applications from candidates with a passion for the sector and the desire to undertake a fully supported apprenticeship in Health and Social Care.
